8.2 The history database

You can use the history file (see section C.8 The history file) to log various CVS actions. To retrieve the information from the history file, use the cvs history command (see section A.12 history--Show status of files and users).

Note: you can control what is logged to this file by using the `LogHistory' keyword in the `CVSROOT/config' file (see section C.10 The CVSROOT/config configuration file).
